Traffic Laws in Construction Zones

July 27, 2016 Posted by admin Traffic Law

Frequently travelled highways and city streets undergo major construction to repair flaws and general wear and tear that occurs during the winter.

Construction zones have additional traffic laws that help keep workers and drivers safe throughout the area of construction; it’s important to be aware of these areas. There are several different signs that indicate the type of construction zone’s traffic laws, and it is very important for motorists to acknowledge and abide by the specified law for the construction zone they are traveling through.

Additional Construction Zone Traffic Law

Nearly all construction zones have reduced speed limits and requires motorists to merge lanes onto a smaller portion of the road. Both of these requirements help make room for construction workers and equipment, while also acting as reminders to motorists to stay vigilant and drive extra cautiously.

In an effort to protect motorists and constructions workers, the punishment for violating traffic laws is enhanced. Substantial fines and potential jail help to dissuade motorists from driving recklessly.

Experienced Traffic Lawyer

If you received a traffic ticket in a construction zone, do not handle it alone. Find an experienced traffic lawyer to represent you. For a reasonable attorney’s fee, you will save yourself a lot of problems.
